4.2K shares Share Share A number of new product recall alerts have been issued following reports of faulty ceiling fans being sold on eBay.
The latest recall, for the new country ceiling fan in the UK, has been issued by the UK’s Office for National Statistics.
The UK has more than a quarter of the world’s total population, and the UK is home to the largest number of foreign-born residents, according to official statistics.
“The new product has a defective fan blade that can cause a faulty circuit,” the government said in a statement.
“Affected users should contact the seller immediately.”
While the UK government did not specify the exact model number of the product, it said that the new product had “a defective fan blades that can result in a faulty power supply circuit and a faulty electrical connector.”
This particular product, as well as other similar products, has also been spotted on eBay, according the company.
Users of eBay sellers in the United States and Canada can now report faulty product on their listings by clicking on the “Report a defect” button, and then the “Add a missing product” button.
The British government has not yet issued any other product recalls.
